WELCOME TO CAMP WILDERNESS…
This fall we will enjoy our fifth gathering at Fall Creek Falls State Park—a 30,000 acre preserve sprawled across the top of the rugged Cumberland Plateau. Here we can enjoy cascades, gorges, waterfalls, and old forests of hardwood timber, all from the comfort of safe, dry cabins!
The staggering Fall Creek Falls are the jewel of the park, plunging 256 feet into a shaded pool. For my money, it is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. On your drive in, you will also see a 345 acre lake that is home to state record catches of catfish and bluegill. We also have our own private river and swimming hole just a five minute walk from our cabins. We can explore our river, Grinning Possum, with the provided canoes and lifejackets, and if we row gently upstream we have been promised ruins of Indian civilizations, but we have never seen any evidence of ancient life there.
Get ready for competition, hiking, water adventures, community, music, memorable dinners, and rest at Camp Wilderness! Three cheers for sleeping in cabins and not on the ground!
